KEDONG LIU STAGE DESIGNER

Kedong Liu is now signed with National Theatre Of China and is a national first-rate stage designer.At the same time, he is also a member of the China Theatre Association as well as CSTAT and OISTAT.

He graduated from The Central Academy of Drama’s stage design department in 1995, under the guidance of his professor Xu Xiang. He is one of the youngest and active first-rate stage designers in all of China, a pioneer in the new wave of stage design in China. As of today, his has over a hundred works, including operas, musicals, theatre, dances, and contemporary dances. His works are grand and full of spirit, with great variation, all creating awe inspiring visuals. He is an avid fanatic of Chinese traditional aesthetics. He interprets many traditional Chinese elements into his contemporary work which have met with great success.
